Protein power

Usually, we do not specifically advertise our open positions, as there has been a large number of highly qualified applicants, outnumbering the available positions by far and making selection sometimes very difficult.

“There are a huge number of proteins in nature that do all kinds of marvelous things,” says Baker. “But there’s an even larger set of proteins which nature never explored that could do even more marvelous things.”

I was always more interested in making and building things than taking alarm clocks apart to see how they work. I once took a radio apart, but it was still not obvious how it worked! Much like protein crystal structures today.
